Throughout history, many different cultures have believed that “Spirits” inhabit the trees of the
forest. Their long flowing beards are hidden in the grain and bark. Carvers are believed to see this
and therefore “Bring the Spirit Out” of the tree. All the Wood spirits are painted with acrylics and
rubbed with a wax preservative and allowed to dry for several days. The carving is then buffed to a
rich finish. All carvings are signed.
